This post is a recap of my conversation with Ariel Schiffer. One year ago, Ariel became our first done-for-you Podfunnel client, and she dished on her experience and the benefits her Podfunnel has provided her with. Let’s get into it – she had so many interesting insights about how she’s leveraging this asset for her business, and I can’t wait for you to read them all!
Before we get into Ariel’s Podfunnel experience, I want to fill you in on her and her business. She is the founder and CEO of Dream Pro. She helps incredible entrepreneurs take their knowledge and put it into courses that help convey the transformation they’re offering.
Before starting her company, Ariel spent a decade as an expert instructional designer. Through that work, she realized people need help with courses. To be frank, she knew that so many people were creating bad courses.
She now has an entire team of incredible women and her husband behind her, and her Podfunnel has been a true game-changer for her business. Let’s learn more about that below.
I was looking for someone to test the Podfunnel, and Ariel was interested in trying something innovative like this – she really, from the start, has found the concept to be genius. In her business, she’s now pretty hands-off in the day-to-day stuff, and she knew being a test subject for the Podfunnel would be seamless.
She was drawn into the idea of it because she appreciated the idea of making a potential client feel secure in their investment before a sales call even occurred. Her goal has never been to get rid of sales calls for her business. But, her business provides a premium service, so they charge a premium price. So, it’s important to her that people feel good about the investment they’re making.
She liked the idea of people understanding how her company works and what they’re about when they get on the phone with her, which leaves more time for them to talk about their specific project. In short, she deeply appreciated being able to get on the phone with people that are already pre-qualified thanks to the Podfunnel.
Ariel shared what a great impression her Podfunnel has made on people. It doesn’t come off as overly sales, and the short, to-the-point episodes are not only easy to listen to, but they reflect Ariel’s personality well. She described these episodes as laying all the cards on the table in terms of her offer, providing all the details they need to make a purchasing decision with confidence.
Ariel – like all business owners – doesn’t want to waste her time on the phone with people that don’t understand her business and process. The Podfunnel eliminates that issue, and people think it’s really cool in the process.
Ariel’s Podfunnels have provided a big shift in her sales calls. Before the Podfunnel, she was doing a lot of explaining on these calls, but now – she rarely goes over her process during these discussions. Her potential clients already know the details and they use this time to ask a few questions.
These calls are now generally shorter. Her company uses an opt-in form, which allows potential clients to download information on packages and pricing. It’s all very upfront and transparent, and then these potential clients are added into an email sequence. Ariel then introduces them to targeted episodes of the Podfunnel to get them in the door.
Every week, people are listening to the Podfunnel, which is amazing because it’s a very passive thing that doesn’t require much promotion. When Ariel is contacted by people looking for more information on her business, she simply directs them to the Podfunnel, which saves her a lot of time.
The podfunnel has provided Ariel with many benefits to her business. It kicked off a huge influx of leads and generated six figures in sales. It continues to attract leads and informs listeners in a succinct way.
It’s amazing that a year after it was created, Ariel is still leveraging this incredible asset. She recently made some very minor updates to it, but noted that the overall integrity of the funnel remains perfect.
Ariel shared that if she’s being conservative, she believes about 40 percent of people who have bought this past year listened to the podfunnel. That means about $400k of their $1 million in revenue can be attributed to the podfunnel.
Ariel noted it’s a great way for her internal team to learn about their business, too, which is just another perk.
I asked Ariel what the difference is in the clients she’s been able to speak with and work with as a result of the podfunnel. She shared that her business has shifted a lot in the past year, and people she talks to after they’ve listened to the podfunnel are very prepared.
This is a great indicator that someone will be a wonderful participant in the process and a diligent client. Her clients, as a result, have become even more aligned with her business. She works with many people that are very busy, so they love being able to listen to something that’s easy and quick.
Another interesting thing that Ariel shared in our conversation was the most unexpected benefit she received from her Podfunnel. She noted that so many people feel like they know her better from listening to the podfunnel, which makes those individuals more likely to to convert.
She has received unsolicited comments about people who binge her Podfunnel or weekly podcast and people really feel connected to her from that. She’s realized that when people can listen to you speak passionately about what you do, it’s something a sales page can’t do. In truth, it can make people fall in love with you!
Ariel’s Podfunnel has given her an edge over her competition because it’s such a differentiation. In short, no one else has one. One of the key values of her company is to lead the way in the space, so that’s something she’s done by investing in a Podfunnel.
She really values that the Podfunnel is high value, polished, and aligned with her brand. She also reaps the benefit of not having to constantly repeat herself – her Podfunnel does that for her with amazing energy where she was completely lit up talking about her business and offer.
Ariel shared what the power of this investment is and wanted to convey that to anyone who might be on the fence about it. She noted that it’s important to look at it from the perspective of an investment being short-term, but really understanding what’s good for your business in the long term in terms of viability, approachability, and sales.
If you value your time, want to stand out, and yearn to be innovative, this investment will allow you to put your best stuff out there.
Ariel really summed it up as saying – why wouldn’t you create a Podfunnel? They save you time, help you stand out, create a great client experience, allow for transparency, and are impressive!
If you’ve connected with what Ariel said, it’s time to apply and get in on the Podfunnel PWR!
